J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference Delivers Major Economic Impact for San Francisco’s Hospitality Industry
“The conference generated approximately $100 million in economic activity—benefiting hotels, restaurants, small businesses, neighborhoods across the city, and ultimately every San Franciscan through significant tax revenue.”
San Francisco, CA — As the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference draws to a close today, Hotel Council of San Francisco President & CEO Alex Bastian issued the following statement on the event’s impact on our hotels, neighborhoods, and local economy:
“On behalf of San Francisco’s hospitality community, we thank J.P. Morgan for choosing our city to host its Healthcare Conference. We were honored to welcome this important global gathering and grateful for the confidence placed in San Francisco.
We extend our sincere thanks to Mayor Lurie, his team, and the many SFPD officers and city employees whose hard work and partnership were critical to the success of the event. We are also deeply thankful for the exceptional team at the Westin St. Francis for their outstanding work hosting the conference, and to the Union Square Alliance for their leadership and dedication as the host neighborhood. Their efforts ensured visitors experienced San Francisco at its very best.
The conference generated approximately $100 million in economic activity—benefiting hotels, restaurants, small businesses, neighborhoods across the city, and ultimately every San Franciscan through significant tax revenue.
Just as meaningful was the feedback from attendees, many of whom shared how impressed they were by the energy, warmth, and magic in the air in our city. It’s fair to say many attendees left their heart here in San Francisco.”
