National Groundhog
Job Shadow Day

February 2, 2012 is National Groundhog Job Shadow Day.  We use that day to introduce high school students to our San Francisco hotel industry and get them interested in pursuing a hospitality program in college or going from school to career.  Our industry needs good, interested people, now and in the future, and this program serves that need.  Your participation may be the start of a future hotel industry leader’s career and they will never forget you.
Please click here for more information.

To participate, a simple form is completed with information on who to report to and the department(s) where students will be placed, in order for the teachers to place the most appropriate student to the opportunity.

The Chancellor Hotel has participated in the program for several years and Wes Tyler is available to answer any questions you may have about how the program has worked.  For more information, feel free to call or email Wes at wtyler@chancellorhotel.com or 415.248.2461

Casting Call!
Primetime Series for the Travel Channel

Atlas Media Corp is casting a new primetime series for the Travel Channel and is looking for hotels with a lot of personality to showcase.  The Travel Channel always highlights destinations and the hospitality industry as a whole but as an added twist to just a regular hotel show there is a make over element. The host is an actual hotel consultant and will be working to help the hotel with any cosmetic, marketing, or business deficiencies. Upon his recommendations, a make over will be done at no cost to the hotel.  Atlas Media Corp is seeking 3 star hotels that have lost a bit of their luster or could gain another star with a bit of help.

Each episode will feature one property that would like the help of a hotel expert to improve their bottom line.
This series is currently in production and will air on the Travel Channel in 2012.

If you are interested, please contact Thalia DaCosta,
Casting Director at Atlas Media Corp at Tdacosta@atlasmediacorp.com.

The casting notice for the show is listed below.
