San Francisco's Million Dollar Mission is happening now!
July 1st to July 31st 2012
In the true spirit of hospitality, The Hotel Council of San Francisco has partnered with LLS to raise funds for vital research for a cure. Working collectively, the San Francisco Hospitality & Service Industries have joined forces to help provide financial, educational and social services for individuals affected by blood cancer and their families during a 30 day city-wide fundraising campaign during the month of July. The campaign goal is to raise $1,000,000 dollars.
Join thousands of San Francisco hoteliers and guests of America's favorite City as we join forces to accomplish this Million Dollar Mission.
Here's how you can help:
1. Bid on a unique San Francisco (or beyond) experience at www.biddingforgood.com/milliondollarmission. The online auction is open from now until July 27th and new packages will be going up throughout the month of July. There's everything from a luxury stay at the San Francisco St. Regis, to international stays in Ireland, Africa and China. You can bid or "buy it now."
2. Donate at www.donatesfmission.org.
3. Support or participate in employee-focused events. The San Francisco Hospitality Industry will be participating in these simple, yet extremely effective, fundraising opportunities throughout the month of July:

For workers and employers, paper paychecks can pose real problems. Check cashing fees eat up a good chunk of a family’s income. There’s greater risk of loss or theft. And it costs more to process and distribute paper checks. That’s why the City of San Francisco and its Office of Financial Empowerment (OFE) have introduced CurrenC SF: direct deposit solutions for businesses, nonprofits and their employees. The CurrenC SF initiative, and its website (www.currencsf.org), offer a wide variety of resources for employers, to help increase direct deposit participation. By joining CurrenC SF, employers can access an employer toolkit, marketing materials, tips and tools for communicating with employees, guides to high-quality payroll products and services, access to low-cost checking accounts for unbanked employees, and more. Participation is voluntary, and it’s easy to join: visit www.currencsf.org and click on “Join CurrenC SF Now.”

The San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development
Please take a moment to complete a quick survey for the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development. The Business Survey is a major component of San Francisco's Economic Strategy, a collaboration between the City's Office of Economic Analysis and Office of Economic & Workforce Development.
